The competences of the Section's units are as follows:

Technical Support Unit
1- Install and operate computers and their appliances.
2- Solve problems related to computers and their programs.
3- Assist computer users in carrying-out basic functions such as typing and e-mailing.
4- Study users' needs and suggest appropriate solutions.
5- Offer training session on how to use computers and important programs in the Municipality.
6- Coordinate with the Information Technology Department in matters relating to computers and programs.
7- Coordinate with the Information Technology Department.
8- Coordinate with the Geographical Information Center.
9- Submit periodical reports stating the activities and achievements of the unit, as well as development suggestions.

Maintenance Unit
1- Maintain computers and their appliances in case of a break down. Provide and maintain spare parts for computers. Examine computers and determine break down causes and take appropriate maintenance measures. Determine whether it is the Municipality or the commercial company which is responsible for maintenance and repair, based on the warranty contract.
2- Submit periodical reports stating the activities and achievements of the unit as well as development suggestions.
